FixMove Singapore Fact Sheet

How a quote and slot are confirmed
- The customer sends the address or postal code, property type, issue description and available photos or video.
- FixMove identifies the likely trade, missing measurements, access constraints and whether an assessment is needed.
- The proposed scope, inclusions, exclusions and price or assessment route are confirmed in writing.
- The next available slot is confirmed based on the location, trade, job scope and current queue.
- The customer verifies the completed agreed scope. Any applicable workmanship cover or parts warranty follows the written quote.
Regulated-work boundary
Not every handyman, plumbing, electrical, carpentry or renovation task has the same regulatory requirement. Where a job legally requires a licensed or registered person or contractor, FixMove identifies the applicable requirement and arranges the relevant party for that scope. Customers can request the name or licence details needed for verification before work starts.
Use Licences & Compliance for the current EMA, PUB, HDB, BCA and SCDF scope distinctions. FixMove does not claim blanket BCA, EMA or PUB licence ownership across every service.
Price methodology
The Singapore Home Service Price List contains 84 deduplicated core entries compiled from FixMove's internal 2026 quote book, plus 12 displayed quick-comparison rows. It discloses that these are planning ranges or starting prices—not an independent survey or market average. Final pricing depends on scope, parts, access, measurements, condition, regulated-work requirements and timing.
What a FixMove bill is made of
Confirmed by the business owner on 29 July 2026. Three parts, and only the third is fixed in advance.
- The job price is set on site. Jobs genuinely differ — drilling depends on how many holes, their diameter and whether the wall needs a core drill; assembling a bed depends on whether it is a single, a double or a bunk. Every price published on this site is an indicative starting point, not a quote, and work begins only after the customer has the price and agrees.
- Materials are billed separately, in addition to the job price. They are not covered by any credit below and no time-of-day surcharge is applied to them.
- The fees around the job are fixed:
- A S$10 fuel surcharge applies to each visit, including any separately scheduled return trip, with no additional standard call-out or inspection fee.
- A S$30 priority visit lets the customer choose their own arrival time. The S$30 is not deductible from the work quotation.
- If fault tracing is required, diagnostic labour is quoted separately before it begins and is credited in full toward the related work when the customer proceeds. Known-scope work — mounting, installing, assembling, replacing a named part, or an on-site measurement for custom carpentry — carries no additional standard inspection fee beyond the S$10 fuel surcharge per visit.
- Time of day is the only scheduling factor that changes the price, and it applies to the labour quote: 00:00–06:00 +50%; 06:00–09:00 +30%; 09:00–21:00 normal; 21:00–24:00 +30%.
- Weekends and public holidays carry no surcharge. A Saturday afternoon costs the same as a Wednesday afternoon. Only the hour of the visit matters.
- The time-of-day surcharge is overtime and is not credited against the job. The S$30 priority fee is also not credited; the diagnosis fee is credited in full toward the related work when the customer proceeds.
FixMove has no flat night call-out fee. The out-of-hours charge is a percentage on the labour quote, not a fixed sum.
Commercial fit-out is a separate case: when work may happen is set by the building management and by HDB, BCA and NEA rules rather than by FixMove, and noisy work is restricted on Sundays and public holidays. Commercial night work is an exception driven by access and deadlines, not a standing price tier.
The governing text is Terms of Service §3.5.
