Tall pantry units with pull-out wire baskets price even higher per foot because the hardware count multiplies.

Soft-close hardware: Upgrading from standard hinges to Blum or Hettich soft-close adds S$180-380 to the total for an average HDB kitchen, but lifts the perceived quality and the daily-use experience noticeably. We recommend this upgrade for any kitchen the household will live with for 7+ years.

Worktop material: Quartz worktops (Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria) at S$120-180 per foot installed dominate the mid-tier market. Solid surface (Corian, Hi-Macs) sits at S$160-220 per foot.
